Apparently, every company is downsizing nowadays. Even the loan sharks also downsizing. Not on their manpower but those O$P$ warnings. XD

Goodbye Holiday, Hello New School Term!

*blows away the dust* 3 more days to new school term, kinda looking forward to it. prolly because i have been slacking for too long. haha! nothing much, had a trip to Pulau Ubin, had 2 singing sessions, watched 5 movies in the past one month. I guess it's time to start working hard. ^_^

Feeling Disgusted

I'm damn disgusted by what I saw today. There's this stall in a coffeeshop selling Ban Mian and there will be pork in the Ban Mian right? I saw how they handle the pork. They took the pork out from the freezer and they threw it on the floor repeatedly. *roll eyes* I heard from my bro that he saw they wrap the dough with newspaper and put it on floor to step with their feet.

This is the area where they throw the pork on the floor repeatedly.

P.S: better don't let me catch them in the act with a camera.

Lesson Learnt: Don't Complain When Get to Eat Nice Food

Met Yushan for dinner after band pract at Chong Boon Market or Food Center or Hawker Center or whatever you call it. We used go there for dinner at least 3 times a week after our band practs during sec sch days and I always complain that i got so sick of the food there. Now i no longer staying in Ang Mo Kio and I miss the food there so muchhhh especially the claypot dishes! But sadly, the stall didn't open today. *cries* Anyway, this is what i had for dinner. Feeling satisfied. ^_^

Make Up Guinea Pig

I received a message from a friend of mine last night asking me if I could do her a favour. She took up a make-up course, she's suppose to have a make-up assessment today and her model couldn't make it at the last minute. She was desperately looking for a girl to let her make-up. So I agreed to help.
Her theme was fashion, for fashion shows kinda make-up. She put many kilograms of powder and many layers of lip balm on my face. lol! i think i look super weird so not gonna post pics showing whole face. ^_^

True or Not?

Met up with my bro and sis-in-law for dinner just now and my bro ate so full till even himself also find that he's very close to the steering wheel and the driver's seat very cram. LOL! So i took out my camera and took a shot of him but they asked me to delete the photo because they're very "pantang" about this. They told me that cannot take photo of the driver with the car/bike.
Years back, my bro took the first picture of himself and his bike and after that he got into 2 accidents and before that the didn't get into any. I'm not sure about this taboo tho. But here's some others that i have heard of:

1. Always finish your rice. (or your future spouse will have lots of pimples on the face)
2. Never stick the chopsticks vertically into the rice bowl. (causes extremely severe bad luck since it symbolizes praying to the dead)
3. No swimming during hungry ghost month.
4. Cannot give shoes as gift (esp. for couple)
5. Never sleep with (head or feet i forgot which) facing the door/window or having a mirror opposite of you.(forgot why. i only remember it's something got to do with your soul)

Have you guys heard of any others? Feel free to share! =)

Satisfied Craving for Tempura

I had tempura that i was craving for earlier on for two consecutive days.

So this is the stall that was introduced on the Channel 8 show.

Yesterday, i had Ten Don Set.

Today, i had ala carte that consists of 2pcs of salmon, shrimp, mushroom, enoki mushrooms and squid with udon.

For the Ten Don Set it consists of 2 seafood items and 3 vegetable items @ $6.20.
For ala carte, seafood item @ $1.80 per piece and vegetable item @ $0.60 per piece.

Bad Sleeping Habit

It's 4.22am now and I'm still wide awake. it has become a habit for me to fall asleep ONLY between 3am to 5am =(
pimples popping out, eyebags getting bigger, dark rings getting darker. noooooo! T__T help! help lar, pleaseeee! T__T

Craving for Tempura

I love Japanese food! Be it sashimi, sushi, ramen, tempura or whatever! I just saw on tv, the channel 8 show, introducing a food court selling tempura. Yeah it's nothing special about selling tempura but it's like a yong tau foo stall where you can pick the seafood and vegetables of your choice on the counter to be “tempura-ed”. I shall try it out REAL SOON! =P

New Template

i wanted to make a new template from scratch initially but i was sooooo lazy so i simply make a banner and edit the default template. it looks a bit plain but it's way easier to change the settings using default template. lol. Feel free to comment on the colours, banner, anything! for this template. ^^

Hill Top Japanese Restaurant

I had my dinner at Hill Top Japanese Restaurant which is located in Jurong. And i ordered the Sashimi *something* Set Dinner (and forget about the extra piece of salmon on the rice =x). The sashimi is really very fresh and tasty! I think that it's worth the price! ^^

The restaurant also have a spectacular view of Jurong Island! (my nub phone doesn't allow me to take clear pics T_T)

Last but not least, it's free parking! Though I don't drive, but with delicious food, nice view, free parking, why not give it a try? ;)

Subway Addict

a new record for me. i have been eating Subway for 4 out of 5 days.
today, i had this footlong roast beef sub. muahaha!

i'm still sitting infront of the notes stoning/daydreaming/wasting time. i started studying since last week but i fall asleep everytime without fail. lol. and coooool..! i haven't fall asleep yet.. for now. haha. oh well, back to "study". so.. wish me good luck. (x_x)

Long Lost Friend

i believe one of the happiest things is to be able to contact with a long lost friend again especially those whom were once very closed with. don't you agree? today i received a message in facebook from a primary school friend asking if i still remember her. i have been trying to find her too. it's so touching to see a long lost friend trying to locate me since PSLE and she still clearly remember the time we had in school. HAHA! time flies! it had been 7 years plus!
i still remember i was very lazy to do homework and i always call her up and she will tell me all the answers. LOL! According to her, we had band exchange before during sec sch days but we don't recognise each other. haha!

anyway, it's nice to see you again! ^_^

Things to Do During Holidays

My exams are not over yet but I'm having holiday mood already!

So here's my plan! I'm soooo gonna:
1. meet up with friends whom I usually don't get to

3. play french horn again :D
4. eat, sleep, slack to the fullest (tho I'm doing it everyday =x)
5. try out food at places I have never been to (xin ku ni le, B1! *hint hint* =P)

Scary Incident

Took train home from Jurong East today then i encountered this scary incident. I saw people who were standing near the priority seats (that were meant for two people) of the first cabin, all starring at the same direction with disgusted face. I thought someone vomitted. Anyway, when i was suppose to alight, i walked to the door nearer to the seats that i thought someone vomitted as the other exit was crowded. Guess what? It wasn't someone vomitted. It was actually an auntie's foot (somewhere near ankle) got cut. There was a big pool of blood on the floor and the wall. There was really a hell lot of blood. -_- Don't know how she got cut. But it's so scary can. I almost vomitted when i see the blood. -_- Being a nurse is always at the bottom of what-i-gonna-be-list. =/

P.S: no pics arbo lost a lot of blood de person is me liao (kena whack) ._.

Homecooked mee siam is the best! Although I don't really eat mee siam outside neither i have any impression of eating mee siam other than at home. lol. And.. and.. mummy's feeding pig. she made very big bowl of mee siam for me and added two eggs somemore. haha. ;o

Telemarketing - Part 2

grr.. wtf! she kup the phone somemore. firstly, i don't like people to hang up the phone just like that. secondly, is my Chinese that bad till she don't understand or something's wrong with her. everytime she called she don't seems to understand what i'm saying. -.-

Shoe Fetish

did i ever mention that i'm a shoe fetish? yea. i like to buy shoes especially when there's sales going on. even though i don't get to wear them all. up till today, i still have shoes in the shoe cabinet that i haven't wear yet. lol. it's not that i want to buy and keep lah but don't have suitable occasion for me to wear it yet. haha. anyway, went Orchard with B1 today wanted to get some stuffs and we passed by this shop that sells "Mondo" shoes and B1 goes "EH! SALES LEH!" so we rushed in excitedly.

I believe everyone has an unglam side. So here's ours! HAHA!
What's next is, we remove our shoes, walk about in the shop and try the shoes on like our house. -_-

There isn't any seat for us to sit down to try the shoes. So this is what i did. LOL!

Well, in the end i bought two pairs of heels. Nice things might not have to be expensive. ^_^

School days

Just now suddenly have the thought to show B1 how nub i looked like during sec sch days so i went to dig out all these pics(these are the only pics i have in sch/band uniform i think). lol. i used to skip school almost everyday but i still attend band every practs tho. haha. anyway, after i digged them out and took a look, i went "OMG!". haha. go ahead and laugh if you want. =( Provided you can spot me. ^_^

Telemarketing

No doubt that telemarketing is an easy way to reach potential customers for companies. However, sometimes there is a minority of telemarketers who will piss people off. Forget about those past bad experiences. This is what i encountered today.

There's this China girl who called and she asked what's my name. I told her and she kept asking the same question. I repeated at least 3 times. After that, she asked for my dad's name because she needs to send out the invitation to an event and i haven't turned 20 (i'm young! ^^). Whatever. I told her i'm not interested and i don't stay with my dad. There she goes and kept asking for my dad's name. I repeat 2 times that i don't stay with him. Of course i was pissed off but i don't simply hang up the phone as i worked as telemarketer before, i know what is it like when people simply hung up the phone. She continued to ask for my dad's name. Fine, i told her. She made me repeat at least 7 times. She sounded pissed off too. lol. I also kept telling her that i'm not interested at all. It's just so freaking annoying. Grr..

Potato with Bacon & Mayo

Had been craving potato with bacon and mayo for weeks! and i finally ate it today! *feeling contented* after two attempts, finally my potato is edible. =x luckily i bought one big packet of potatoes. ^_^

well, at least it is edible okay! ^_^

Sick

Had been sick for a week and i finally went to see a doctor. The doctor gave me 4 types of medicine. Poor me. i dread of swallowing the tablets especially those bigger ones as i find them hard to swallow and it always got stucked at my throat. So what i always do is cut them into 2 pieces. lol! Go ahead and say me kiddy! =x

IKEA

School ended early today so i headed to Ikea Tampines for lunch. Despite having cough, flu and sore throat, i still can't resist the temptation. T_T

Typical Beauty Salon

wheeee! went for facial just now and i do enjoy facials a lot. but what i don't like is that they are always so assertive. it's so annoying to say no and yet they keep asking if you're interested. if you insisted no, they continue to promote other stuffs and keep repeating the same thing. irritating isn't it? =/

after i get the package that costs $600, the beautician asked me to get the one that costs $1200. apparently, i said i'm not interested in the package and i had to repeat more than 5 times that i'm not interested. after that, here's the conversation:

HER: so how much can you pay today? $300?
ME: pay for? the $1200 package?
HER: ya

wth? i'm sure that in total i said "no" for more than 10 times. freaking annoying.

i have also noticed that instead of keep telling you how good their products is, they will say things like, "wah! the condition of your face is really very serious ler!" to make you think that your face is really very jialat(horrible) and purchase their products and packages. -_-

Hotel626

Came across this website, www.hotel626.com from my friend's msn nick and out of curiosity, i went to sign up an account and play it. I don't have any screenshot as not long after the game loaded, i closed it. It seems spooky! lol. I don't have the guts to complete the game. haha!

It's actually a game created to promote Doritos snacks. I don't know what does Doritos snacks gotta do with this spooky game tho. *rolls eyes* Anyway, this game is available from 6pm - 6am. From what i heard is that there are 10 stages in the game. In some stages, you have to figure out a code or snap a picture of a ghost's face.

Gossip Forum

I have noticed that there are many forums made to let people post gossips and gossip about others. Well, I happened to have a friend who join such forums. She joined and not only she got herself into trouble but also got others into trouble. She was flamed and people went to dig out and post photos of her which was taken many years back. She posts gossips up there and sending out photos of the "victims" as well.

There was once i went out with her and we bumped into one of the girls who flamed her in the forum at a cafe. My friend told me that girl was sitting at the table behind us and she seems like trying to hide.

Me: How you know is her?
My Friend: Cos she flame me and posted her own pics up there too!
Me: ...

What i'm trying to say is that are they trying to get famous being the "Bitchiest Gossiper" or what? Seriously, i don't understand why they are doing this. Don't they have better things to do? =/

Confessions of a Shopaholic

The movie is based on a novel by Sophie Kinsella. It's about a girl, Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) who is a shopaholic. She puts in extreme effort to keep her past from ruining her future. Perhaps, we would be able to make light of her compulsive shopping habits before the economy recession. lol. Overall, it's a pretty nice movie. =)
